About Us

Martin

MJ McIvor Solicitors was established by Principal Solicitor Martin McIvor. We are an Omagh based firm of Solicitors specialising in Conveyancing. Martin qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2006 and was employed by a  general practice which also had a niche specialism in medical negligence claims. Martin progressed quickly and was appointed a Partner of that firm in 2010. In 2013 Martin, along with wife Marcella and (at that time) 3 year old daughter, felt the draw for home and returned to Northern Ireland in early 2014 with Martin taking up a position with a well established local firm. In 2017, having the benefit of 11 years of post qualification experience, Martin decided to branch out and established MJ McIvor Solicitors.

It is our aim to focus on the individual needs of each and every one of our clients. We aim to provide a high standard of customer care.

Our firm promotes itself as offering the services of a traditional high street practice but with a modern edge. We have modern offices with high speed broadband where clients can avail of plentiful and convenient parking. The firm has invested in a state of the art legal case management computer system which allows client’s cases to be dealt with in an extremely efficient manner. We felt it was important to invest in the most up to date legal software. It is an important part of our overall drive to provide our clients with good service.

We deal with all areas of the law including house sales and purchases, Wills and Estates, Personal Injury and Employment, Commercial Property and Agri-Commercial matters.

We are acutely aware of the time constraints that are placed on families and the working population nowadays which can make it more difficult to make that daytime appointment with a Solicitor should the need arise. In recognition of that, we offer late evening opening on a Thursday until 7.00 pm and Saturday morning opening from 9.00 am until 12 noon.

Martin sits on the Board of Governors of Omagh North Nursery School and is a keen runner, often found competing in local races and events and is a member of Omagh Harriers Athletic Club.
